Australian openers has just put up a show at Mumbai chasing a target of 256 with out a loss of wicket.

Earlier on the day after winning the toss Australia have decided to bowl on the flat track expecting a dew in second innings.

India,after a lot of discussions on opening pair for India, Dhawan and Rohit opened the innings, Rohit at start looked positive as driving the first ball of the innings for four but could not capitalize after a positive start as he fell for Starc after a couple of overs.

Dhawan who has made a quiet slow at start of the innings steadily paced his innings after couple of back to back fours in Starc’s over, then Kl Rahul came in place of Kohli at number 3, both Dhawan and Rahul looked good also made a hundred partnership but soon Kl Rahul fell for Ashton Agar before reaching his fifty.

And Dhawan after reaching his fifty took charge on spinners but fell to Cummins after taking a leading edge. Then soon Virat Kohli who came at no.4 lofted Zampa for a six at early but fell for the next ball trying to hit straight back the bowler.

After a good start for India Australia made their way back with timely wickets after Kohli’s wicket Shreyas Iyer did not last long as he fell for the plan of the Aussies.Then India tried to make their way back with Rishabh and Jadeja partnership unless and until Richardson strikes with slower ball to Jadeja.

But still India had their hopes in Pant and Thakur, As Thakur counter attacked on Aussies bowlers driving them for boundaries but mean while Rishabh Pant fell for short ball to Pat Cummins and soon Thakur for a brilliant yorker by Starc. After a good contribution from India’s lower order made India to set a total of 255.

With good performance by the ball from Australia they continued with the bat as well, as both the openers Aaron Finch and David Warner toiled Indian bowlers scoring at a run rate above 8 in first 10 overs. After Indian spinners included in action they were looked like creating chances but Finch and Warner batted steadily to make sure no loss of wicket.

And both the openers scored their hundreds and chased down the target of 256 with highest partnership for any wicket against India and won the match by 10 wickets going 1-0 up in the series.
